What is 3.5G ?

3.5G from MTN is an advanced third generation form of mobile communication standards and technology. Service offerings of 3.5G from MTN include Mobile high speed broadband internet access which supports large size uploads and downloads, Video Calling, VideoCam, and portal services which enables music, video and game downloads. The technology also allows subscribers stream videos, receive live TV signals, receive and send large files and even make voice calls, all in a mobile environment. 3.5G technology relies on the new High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) protocol, which is its secret weapon for its super speeds.

The MTN 3.5G VideoCam is a cutting edge home video-surveillance device, exclusive from MTN, that allows you to check up on your home and loved ones via your 3G enabled phone. Simply make a video call on the MTN 3G network to your MTN video cam powered by an MTN postpaid or pre-paid SIM card.

Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS):
The MTN MMS service allows customers with 3.5G enabled phones to send messages that include multimedia objects (images, audio, video, rich text) and not just SMS, to their family, friends and other customers on the MTN Network.

DRIVER UPGRADES

F@stlink E220 USB Modem Upgrade Software, for MAC 10.5 Operating System.

Introduction: Apple computers running on MAC operating system later than MAC 10.4 version, requires the F@stlink E220 USB Modem upgrade software for MAC 10.5, to be able to use the data service.

Installation Procedure

Ensure the F@astlink E220 is not plugged on the computer
Copy the attached file “Mobile_Connect” into MAC System using a flash drive
Double click on the Mobile Connect icon & follow the program instructions to install the software.
Plug the F@stlink E220 USB Modem into the USB port on the computer, then you can use.
