launches ‘Smart Survey’, a USSD-based business solution

Lagos, December 12, 2018: It is estimated that by 2023 governments will begin to explore replacing census with big-data technologies, which is a reflection of how technology is constantly changing our realities and driving more institutions and organisations to adopt improved innovations for planning and business growth.

Leading the technology change in Nigeria, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) company, MTN Nigeria, in collaboration with key partners, on Tuesday, December 10, 2018, in Lagos, launched a first-of-its-kind business tool for customer insight, MTN Smart Survey.

MTN Smart Survey offers survey services through the USSD channel to MTN subscribers that have been profiled based on specific attributes, such as age, gender, location, and more. The tool is also designed in a way that rewards customers with N100 MTN airtime upon completion of questions administered in the survey.

Speaking at the launch of the solution, Onyinye Ikenna-Emeka, General Manager, Enterprise Marketing, MTN Nigeria, explained that, working with an accredited research agency, businesses and organisations that subscribe to the service are provided with analysis, reports and recommendations based on the feedback of the respondents.

She also reiterated MTN’s commitment to providing tailor-made solutions to everyday challenges faced by businesses in the country. In her words, “We are excited about how this platform will help in sharpening business ideas and directions in the Nigerian market, and MTN Nigeria remains committed to providing platforms that will enable seamless business operations. The MTN Smart Survey solution is not just a tool but a strategic driver and a real enabler of business performance.
